New Daily Poetry: Great Power
What use is money?
If not to build your community or solve problems?
Must people be so foolish to waste their potential?
So selfish, to hoard these treasures?
What use is a rifle?
If not to protect the old and frail from thugs and the thieves?
Must people be so cowardly – avoid the duty to protect and serve, even in the face of tyrants wearing badges?
What use is a politician?
If not to make your nation great?
Must people be so foolish, selfish, and cowardly to abuse their power against their neighbors?
