Located in West Hollywood on Santa Monica Boulevard, the Tesla Diner has been in the works since 2018 according to reports, with Eric Greenspan announced as head chef for the restaurant in March.   Located in Hollywood, Tesla Diner is a retro-futuristic diner & drive-in charging experience all wrapped into one. 80 V4 Supercharger stalls are open to all NACS-compatible EVs, making it the largest urban Supercharger in the world. You can place your order in advance or upon arrival through your vehicle's touchscreen & have your meal dropped off at your driver's side window – Or come inside to pick & choose We have entertainment, too – movies & special features playing on 2 megascreens. Come dine & hang out on our Skypad...or cozy up in your Tesla & watch via the Tesla Diner app (where you'll find the movie schedule, too)

# Content for Fun vs. Content for Purpose  We use content in different ways, based on our purpose. Sometimes we use it for fun or entertainment (and social connection), such as when reading a thoughtful essay or scrolling TikTok. At other times, we have a specific goal in mind, such as finding out how to fix a particular error code on our dishwasher or solving a specific coding problem. Understanding these distinct modes isn’t just academically interesting; I hope this mental model helps shape how we design content experiences, AI assistants, and digital platforms. Do these modes resonate with you? I’d love to see great examples of platform or content design that reflect this thinking, to reveal how we can better design Automattic’s products to meet you in whichever mode they find you.
