Yugologo | Cool logos from Yugoslavia ![](https://m.stacker.news/89164) yugo.logo is a research project initiated in 2019. by Belgrade based graphic designer Ognjen Ranković aka [oran.design](https://oran.design). The basic starting point of the project lies in the fact that most of these graphic symbols, created more than half a century ago, are considered extremely high quality solutions and up to modern standards. Their influence on today’s (local) design, but also on the establishment of collective aesthetic criteria, is by no means negligible, which makes the topic of the whole research – albeit seemingly archaic – very up-to-date. After the break-up of Yugoslavia* most of the archives and industrial heritage was lost, left in despair, destroyed or forgotten… yugo.logo aims to collect and save as many symbols and other design work “made in Yugoslavia”. *Yugoslavia (1918-1992) = Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia – population cca 20mil. ![](https://m.stacker.news/89165) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89166) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89167) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89168) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89169) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89170) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89171) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89172) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89173) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89174) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89175) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89176) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89177) ![](https://m.stacker.news/89178) originally posted at

Thinking beyond Playing with Children. Nurturing Creativity through Design Creativity should be a cornerstone of education. It equips and prepares children for a dynamic and interconnected world. When expression is not limited to daily school tasks, it can help them build self-awareness and confidence. It promotes young minds to think critically, question assumptions and promote exploration. Creativity fosters curiosity and encourages students to become lifelong learners. With a boundless flow of imagination, students are more likely to become reflective of their surroundings and open-minded individuals who embrace diverse perspectives and experiences. ![](https://m.stacker.news/88775) ![](https://m.stacker.news/88776) ![](https://m.stacker.news/88777) ![](https://m.stacker.news/88778) ![](https://m.stacker.news/88779) originally posted at
📚 Shape Up: Stop Running in Circles and Ship Work that Matters by Ryan Singer ![](https://m.stacker.news/88774) Over the last few years, there’s been a heightened curiosity about how we work at Basecamp. People often ask us how we get so much done so quickly at such a high level of quality with such a small team. And how we keep our teams together for years and years. For one, we’re not into waterfall or agile or scrum. For two, we don’t line walls with Post-it notes. For three, we don’t do daily stand ups, design sprints, development sprints, or anything remotely tied to a metaphor that includes being tired and worn out at the end. No backlogs, no Kanban, no velocity tracking, none of that. We have an entirely different approach. One developed in isolation over nearly 15 years of constant trial and error, taking note, iterating, honing in, and polishing up. We’ve shaped our own way. Blog posts, workshops, and occasional conference talks have provided glimpses of our own unique process, but we’ve never laid it bare for all to see. This book does just that.
