Introducing the Open Design Guide, where designers learn how to find their way into open-source. Christoph Ono (Bitcoin.Design) and Eriol Fox (Open Source Design) present the OpenDesign.guide at FOSS Backstage 2025, trying to respond to the question: # If designers ask you how to get started in ope-source, what do you tell them? > Designers often have a hard time seeing open-source as a place they might be comfortable in. So we are building a 12-chapter guide to make these journeys easier. It starts with a basic introduction to open-source, the role of design, how to get started, up to more advanced topics. The ambition is that the guide can be used for solo learning, group learning, and educational environments. It's a 100% open-source project, fully built in public.
