Just a thought, but why is the text entry box for Mastodon on the web so small? It's a small panel on the left of my screen and it feels like I should be able to expand it, or pop it out to be a separate window. Now we have up to 1000 characters to play with, it feels like the editing window should be more suitable for lengthier musings. I’m predominantly an @IceCubesApp user, but I notice they and @Ivory by Tapbots :emoji_wink: have t updated their apps in 3 months. I'm still trying to get my head around Friendica and the overall benefit (or otherwise) over Mastodon. I know they're both AP platforms, and I get that they interact with each other. I have a Friendica account - maybe I should just start there. The only thing I can see is the length of the post and the ability to add files, but am I missing something fundamental. #pixelfed for photos #mastodon for words (and pictures) What does Friendica give me? #fediverse #friendica #mastodon

Even more incredible that given the numbers signing up, @dansup has pretty much managed to keep it going (barring the odd, small, hiccups).
