Crime is now illegal again in California, much to Gavin Newsom’s dismay.
Californians voted for Prop 36 which took effect this week. It allows harsher penalties for theft. It undoes Prop 47 which basically allowed people to steal up to $950 with virtually no consequences.
Gavin Newsom opposed it of course.
