Meaning & Practice
This shabad states something direct and uncompromising:
The Divine Itself has become my support.
• Aap (ਆਪਿ) names the Divine itself—not an intermediary.
• Sahaaee (ਸਹਾਈ) means active support, refuge, help already in motion.
• Sachay daa sachaa dhoaa affirms that True support comes from the True One—reliable, steady, not conditional.
• The repetition of Har calls attention to the Creative, Sustaining Infinite—the force that brings things into being and carries them through.
This is not a request or plea.
It’s a declaration of alignment.
Although this line is Gurbani (a Shabad from Guru Granth Sahib), it’s often practiced mantrically—through repetition—so the truth it states becomes embodied rather than conceptual.
