On the 3rd of January 2009, at exactly 18:15:05 UTC, Bitcoin’s first block (000000000019d6689c085ae165831e934ff763ae46a2a6c172b3f1b60a8ce26f) was mined. On the block, a message was embedded: “The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.”
We propose an event to celebrate Bitcoin's Genesis Block which was 16 years ago. Celebrate where Bitcoin started and where it's going. A time to remember and a time to plan. Remember the reason Bitcoin was invented and what we plan to do with that invention.
