It's a nice, dry, cool-ish day so it's time to start clearing out the corn stalks. We use a garden fork to make sure we get up a lot of the roots and stack everything up off the ground, getting ready for the shredder. We LOVE our sweet corn, so we don't mind the effort of cleanup. Things are winding down now, but BeetBear still found veg. to share with the neighbors today. It made our day when a young lady and her grandma stopped by with a thank-you note for us. It's very dry again. We have had no rain since a light shower on 20-Aug. Tomatoes are heavily mulched, so they're ok.
