Farewell Okra, we barely knew thee. I never realized until this year that Okra was sensitive to fusarium wilt, but there it is. Won't be growing that near here anytime soon. Anyway, it's all cleaned out now and on it's way to an incinerator. One of the "weeds" that tends to colonize my squash patch this time of year is the Asian Flatsedge, (Cyperus microiria) . I think it to be quite a beautiful, elegant plant and am fascinated by it.
