Saying an LLM can replace a human is nonsense for many reasons, but one is that LLMs are generic, whereas a human is specific. I also hope that third-party mobile clients such as Mona, Ivory, Tusky, etc. have a way to query this via the API so they can also respect the setting. Many people believe they get no traffic from Mastodon because their analytics service doesn’t recognise it. This could change, and give us a bit more clout.

I have once again found out that Patreon unsubscribed me from a feed for which I was paying monthly (James Hoffmann’s channel, in case you are curious), without notifying me at all. Because it’s a sporadically-updating feed, I didn’t notice for months. Those of you who fund yourselves with Patreon, beware. This isn’t the first time for me.
