Just thinking aloud here.
Would you put a small "made by human" button on your website in an effort to stop AI crawlers?
Traffic from the button would be used to get more IP addresses and bad browser user agents.
If you vote, please boost so I can get some better data.
Let's say you wanted to block a bunch of rogue web crawlers run by slop companies from your website.
What are some tricks you'd apply?
I already have a list of AS numbers that send garbage traffic around and I'm also looking at non-standard user agents.
Should I have multiple accounts for various things on here or just the one stream of nonsense?
Iβm trying to post here more often but I donβt always post my wargaming stuff or music/TV stuff here and instead focus on technical stuff.
Does anyone have *any* of those. online "learn programming" type things they like and would actually recommend?
I've not been a professional software developer for well over a decade, and the last code I wrote other than my own personal stuff was mostly just fixing up other people's HTML/CSS/JS, not starting from scratch.
Hoping for something that doesn't shove AI slop at me, and ideally something for either Ruby or PHP.
I've tried boot.dev -- it's fun, but Python and AI slop in places now.
Reply to this with a domain name or band name you've thought up, written down and never done anything with.
I'll go first. I bought zebrafoot.com after seeing it on a Law and Order episode.
I will commit to putting up a picture of a Zebra Foot there and a link to the posts for the best names I see.
Please repost good ones! #zebrafoot
