I'm already seeing trolls show up in Techdirt comments claiming that Kimmel was *actually* cancelled for low ratings, so just be ready for that to be the narrative we hear in the future when they insist nothing wrong was done...

This is an embarrassing misunderstanding of Murthy, which DID NOT green light the FCC's actions at all, and in fact *reinforced* the idea that coercion over speech is not allowed. It just said you had to actually have standing to make that claim, and the plaintiffs there didn't. RE:
