The use of the term "NPC" to dismiss people as not just being not worth listening to, but not even *actual human beings with agency* is pretty fucking offensive, and it bugs me a bit how normalized it's become among some of the chattering class (not Jamelle, who is also criticizing its use here).

I find this claim *particularly* telling (not in a good way) about TCW, the force behind The Harper's Letter. His complaint has never been about free speech, but about not being criticized so much for his own speech.
