Okay, so back in 2016 when I first found Mastodon and it was in it's early days, I joined their IRC and private messaged Gargron to warn him that mastadon.social was available, and that I kept misspelling it as mastadon two years later when I came back and Mastodon was huge, I was so proud of that fact, I would tell everyone that I knew Gargron when Mastodon was small. A few months later I started @npub1ywt6...nj7r and that's why Gargron is my hero. Pixelfed wouldn't exist without Mastodon ✨ 🚀 💪

I've made mistakes in how I've interacted with our community, especially during the recent growth of Pixelfed and Loops. While I'm proud of what we've built over 7 years, I recognize that my leadership style hasn't always fostered the collaborative spirit we need. I'm making this public: I'll be better.
