First ever NWC hackathon track has ended!
9 out of 26 projects during @btcplusplus in Florianรณpolis integrated Nostr Wallet Connect to let users use bring their own wallets into the created apps.
1 mln sats will be distributed to 3 best projects thanks to @Alby and Flash (

Zaplit won 333k sats for creaing a "Splitwise with lightning" where users can connect their own wallets and automatically split bills. ๐งพ Very useful tool for conferences!
Money Badger won 333k sats for a gamified wallet for kids & parents, where kids can get rewards for simple tasks parents set for them. Kids' wallets are sub-wallets running on the parents' Alby Hub. Awesome!
They also won 100k sats for best design ๐จ
Team that integrated bitcoin payments with NWC into a White Noise by @JeffG , a hiper private messaging app built on Nostr, won another 333k sats for best existing app integration. They also won a second place overall, which granted them additional 3 mln sats โก
The main price of the whole hackathon, 5 mln sats, goes to @npub12pqn...euv6 - a solution that's a lightning bridge to Brazil fast payments system Pix. Now you can pay with bitcoin EVERYWHERE in Brazil! And you can deposit sats with your NWC connected wallet ๐
@npub1jyhk...6g5p , won 500k sats for a quirkiest hack, an AI agent that requires zaps to stay alive and shitpost on Nostr ๐ They use NWC to provide the wallet to Sloppy with Alby Hub. https://savesloppy.org/
Other NWC projects that we hope will become great, fully fledge products soon:
๐ถ SonicStream - "Spotify but transparent with NWC lightning payouts directly to artists". This has potential!
Suggestr, a Nostr client where you can suggest Nostr profiles to broadcast certain posts and even bribe them to do so! Bribe payouts are NWC powered, of course.
Finally, two similar projects: Karpatio & Bitcoin Free Market are Nostr-based decentralised product marketplaces, that connects customers directly with local businesses. NWC is enabled by 
integration.
