She showed her tribal ID from the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation in Oregon, a federally recognized form of identification. An agent called her document "fake," saying "anyone can make that." She was released shortly afterwards, but says in a social media post that a similar thing happened to both her son and uncle.
