This is an ungodly hour to be up. I used to do this every day. Not so much in the last few years. But today is the first day of school for four of my grandchildren, and the very first day for one four year old. I expect much weeping and the gnashing of teeth, from at least one parent. I really hate nationally televised games. None of the national announcers ever give Philadelphia teams any respect. We’ve had two nights in a row of announcers clearly rooting for the Braves. Beat them both nights, so fuck em. But what I don’t understand is why there is no pre or post game show locally. What does that have to do with who calls the game?
