Threw my back out this week tryna pick up my cat and it’s interesting how I see my home as this very hostile thing all of a sudden. No hand holds to lift myself, no safe way to move around easily, etc.
One thing that drives me *bonkers* about tech culture is teaching designers that the bureaucracy is more important than the output — journey maps, documentation, multiple iterations, user research etc etc. All of these are fine tools but the goal is a good product and you can spend months producing mountains of all these design artifacts and *still* end up with junk.
Your UX is bad? Your UI looks old?
Accessibility sucks? Perf is bad? Design team can’t ship stuff? Customers annoyed by tons of bugs? Everything takes too long to build? No time for small usability improvements?
