Hey, nobody on this platform owes anyone their personal details. A person who toots as a cat runs several large instances in the Fediverse. I follow them, other cats, a couple of anime characters, a clock, a Bozo the Clown, a plate of spaghetti, one or two ghosts, a Doctor Who, and several other forms of not your real name accounts. Anyone getting prissy about that is ridiculous. The only thing anyone gets is what you want to share. Nobody in this world is entitled to anything about you.
Biden delivered a strong economy that was relentlessly shit on by the media because inflation spiked after COVID even though his own policies created a recovery that was remarkable. Now that Trump/Musk are creating massive economic uncertainty with tariffs and threats and layoffs, media coverage of the economy has largely disappeared. Draw your own conclusions. “Kamala didn’t earn my vote.” Imagine being that privileged. All the people about to get kicked off Medicare earned my vote for Kamala. The fucking Grinch could have been running against Trump and I would still be phone banking because I don’t want people living under Nazi rule. Someone decided to take exception with me on this today and is on a crazy all day rant about me. That’s the world we’re operating in.

The National Labor Relations Board is really the thing that makes unions work. It also protects you at your job even if you're not a union worker. Think you're going to complain that your employer wants you to work more than 40 hours a week or about unsafe working conditions with Trump’s NLRB? Nope. And nobody else will be able to, either. Elections have consequences. Trump's anti-union NLRB reverses workers rights: https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/5151459-trump-anti-worker-nlrb-unions/
It’s sickening enough to see Republicans coming after Medicaid, but even people who don’t rely on Medicaid will be massively impacted. Hospitals are required to treat emergency patients regardless of ability to pay (as it should be) and without coverage, there will be more emergencies and people using ERs for basic care. Hospitals will have increased costs which will then raise health insurance premiums. Republican proposals to cut Medicaid could be politically fraught: https://www.npr.org/sections/shots-health-news/2025/02/20/nx-s1-5303475/republicans-medicaid-cuts-trump-hospitals
The party that criticizes “tax and spend” is also the party that borrows and spends and cuts taxes for the very rich. This is not fiscal responsibility. It is ushering in another gilded age. Get yourself and others you know in front of Republicans. Here’s a by-district tool you can use. And find some people who didn’t vote for Harris-Walz. Almost everybody knows one.
