I’m about to make another NOSTR recruitment video over on the ol’ Tickety Tok before it’s decommissioned (for Americans) on the 17th. I’m not even sad about TikTok getting banned this time because the censorship is truly out of control over there. (It’s out of control on meta too, but they’ve really cracked down on TikTok in the past 23 months). It’s not fun anymore honestly. But I will miss my mutuals. Maybe I’ll convince some of them to come here and hang out.

The mainstream social platforms have gotten so tiresome. The algorithms have everyone in their own filter bubble so that it’s like no one is experiencing the same reality, and everyone is convinced and self-righteous about their version of reality. The “moderation” has become so intense and sensitive that I got a strike on my account for saying “ku klux klan jokes really aren’t funny right now for white or black people” yet hundreds of actual bullying comments calling conservatives klansmen were given a pass? What? I’m not even conservative, but I think the whole “all conservatives are extremists” bullshit is unhelpful and not in my own self interest as someone who doesn’t want us to have another civil war… but apparently that’s controversial and I just need to shut up? Nostr is the only place that makes sense anymore. Smh.
