I usually con‘t comment on software politics (which means, I‘ll do in this post 😆) and I stopped using WordPress in 2015, so I‘ll keep this short. Besides the fact that you should be wary about any project that basically is a one man show power-wise: use a format for your blog posts that is open, easy to migrate where you can have a post with all assets, images and metadata in a single folder adressable with a relative path. I *will* save your ass one time.
