NEW: 21-year-old Syrian immigrant arrested for cutting an American model's nose in half after the American stepped in to protect two women from the violent thug.
American tourist John Rudat, 21, was left with a nasty gash after protecting the women on a German tram.
Police initially arrested the Syrian immigrant but then released him due to "lack of evidence."
After the story went viral and "new evidence" came forward, the Syrian immigrant was re-arrested. He has been identified as 'Majid A.'
"Now that further investigation results are available, the 21-year-old Syrian, who was briefly in police custody on August 24, 2025, is also under strong suspicion of having been involved in the knife attack on the American and of having injured the victim with a dangerous object," a police statement read.
"The injury to the face, the cut to the nose. It severed my nose in two and part of my lip here," Rudat said during an interview.

NEW: 4 teens arrested for tearing down rainbow flags and cutting them at a rainbow crosswalk in Atlanta, GA, could face years in prison, according to the New York Times.
