I stand by my statement that Stranger Things S1 as a standalone media project is very very good and definitely worth watching. By season 2 they already were leaning into explicit nostalgia-bait. By season 5 they literally were like "remember this shitty portable radio"
so yeah Stranger Things they were making it up as they went along and you can tell, but it wasn't REMOTELY as bad as Lost, which I could tell was complete horse shit by a few episodes in.
