Despite the #DMA's clear obligation for #gatekeepers to allow you to uninstall pre-installed apps, #Alphabet claims this can also mean disabling. Yes seriously. So we wrote a 7-page explanation why disable ≠ uninstall. The complaint was filed together with @ARTICLE 19, @Free Software Foundation Europe, @Freiheitsrechte.org - GFF, @Homo Digitalis and @vrijschrift 🙏

A prominent MEP -- Tiemo @npub1kldu...xset -- is suing the @European Commission for "failing to adequately explain why it withdrew two pieces of EU legislation shortly after President Ursula von der Leyen met with U.S. Vice President JD Vance," according to Politico.
