It’s been a long time since we sold a Tinyseed, but finally after many months, today was the day. The interesting thing about the Tinyseed is, we used to sell quite some multisig packs. Since they got individually listed we almost don’t sell them anymore. Should we list the multisig option (which is 3 individual Tinyseeds with different color wraps) separately?
On X we reached 5678, are we too late? We don’t follow anyone there anymore, just to make sure nobody knows who we adore. When dropping followers your timeline is ruined, it’s just engagement of which you can’t be bothered. It’s unfortunately too early to leave for nostr alone, almost zero engagement as posts feel long gone. What should we do to increase vibrance over here? image
“(and "proper" wide-scale bitcoin adoption, for that matter)” this is something that we see. The amount of people that were on not your keys not your coins is, believe it or not, going down as a percentage of the total. The other issue is, that “taking self custody” through a surveillance ledger shitcoin shilling device for example might also not help. So what is “proper” adoption? It’s a definition for everyone to have a totally different meaning. For us, being around proper bitcoiners and supplying what they need is all that matters. In the end it’s about the proof of work and the friends we make along the way. View quoted note →
Which signing devices in its standard workflow connect to the manufacturer’s remote server? Out of our open source/source verifiable, bitcoin only choices on our website: @npub1s0vt...pq6j Passport core checks the authenticity of the device through their envoy app. When using envoy it connects to the foundation node as a standard. @BitBox connects to the bitbox node when using the bitbox software. @Blockstream Jade uses the blind oracle pin server. ….. @npub19can...qj29 has no “in house” companion app you use, the verification of authenticity is a number shown at startup of the device to check with a number on the sealed bag. You’re basically forced to make choices about your privacy. With the @npub17tyk...3mgl you’re basically forced to learn how to use certain coordinator software. @npub1n3h6...2j0t uses third party applications such as @nunchuk_io The questions that we receive almost daily are about “the optimal” choice. There is no optimal choice. It’s all trade offs. That’s why we offer them all.
This concept is seriously interesting. A bet on hitting the block reward. If this scales sufficiently it could be multiple blocks in a six hour time frame, mined by “for rent” miners. Guaranteed income for miners, you either hit more or less than what you “gambled”. View quoted note →

Together with @Jeroen ✅ we recently installed a hydro addition to our bitcoin tulip project. Currently over 30 million tulip bulbs are being dried partially with bitcoin mining heat. This reduces the use of natural gas for drying.
After doing the book distribution for the Netherlands and Belgium for a couple years we recently said goodbye to it. The book distribution is now happening through the largest distributor of the country giving every bookshop and online bookshop direct access to great books like this. We decided to reduce our stock levels in Dutch books significantly because the majority of orders are actually broad EU. Our direct booksales were always originals in English. You can still order the Dutch books with bitcoin at consensus with a discount code “BitcoinBrabant”. Also the ebook. View quoted note →
