Yesterday, Trump claimed that Vice President and acting leader of Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez was cooperating with the Trump regime. Shortly after, Ms. Rodríguez held a press conference demanding the immediate release of President Maduro, and announcing she has formed a council to defend Venezuela and activated the military forces accross the nation. From the looks of it, the US will not “be running Venezuela”, as Trump said. More likely, Trump got himself a new Vietnam.

For an entire year, EU leaders have been imagining that they are on the same team as Trump, telling Putin that it is wrong to invade another country to decide it's future… and now Trump has attacked Venezuela, kidnapped Maduro, and is trying to install an American puppet regime. Now it is The Kremlin communicating how the US is violating international law and disrespecting the UN charter. Democratic countries must realize that neither Putin nor the Trump regime is on team democracy.

Mexico condemns the US military intervention in Venezuela, and rightfully calls it a clear violation of the UN charter.

"We are gonna run it", says Trump about Venezuela, after Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro has been abducted from Caracas by the US military. Trump explains, that Venezuela has not been pumping enough oil, but this will change as the US is taking over. We went from "Canada should be the 51st state" to "we are gonna run Venezuela" in months. Who needs enemies, when any country can be invaded by their "ally" the USA, whenever the Trump regime wants it's resources? Is Greenland next?

If Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen of Denmark wants the US to bomb Nuuk and abduct the Greenland government, I recommend continuing the European line of Trump appeasement. Alternatively, now would be a good time to condemn Trump’s new war with Venezuela and mobilize an international coalition for the defence of Greenland.
