Our school district gave up art and language programs and did some grim staff cuts to handle years of funding losses, but every kid in the district gets free breakfast and lunch *year round* and they have a free clothing shop and laundry facilities for families. More schools could do this.
First big thunderstorm of the season rattled the pictures on the walls from roughly 1-3am π and the dog who previously slept through everything in his cozy insulated cave was transformed into the dog who sleeps through nothing so no one else will either π
